All
reviews and writings are from the mind of Las Vegas writer Chad Clinton
Freeman, CCF for short. Some reviews may contain minor spoilers as most
do. I would suggest you use the approach I do. If you’ve never
heard of a film or think you might posslibly want to see it, but just
aren’t sure yet, read the review to try and find out more about
it. If it is a movie you are dying to see, but haven’t gotten
around to it, skip the review until after you've seen it. Don’t
worry, I would never do something as idiotic as giveaway a secret twist,
especially if we are talking about anything on the level of a M. Night
Shyamalan or Paul Haggis ending.
There
will be no method to the madness of what I review. Whatever I watch,
I will review. Last, but not least, keep in mind, I am no movie expert
and these are only my opinions. But what you will get is my
honesty. I’m not scared to admit I like something when I do. I
still claim the music of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and Madonna
and I walk around in a Houston Texans NFL jacket. I’m not too
scared to voice me dislike in something either. No matter how many people
tell me how good “Forrest Gump,” “A Beautiful Mind,”
“Schindler’s List” or “The Godfather”
are, I will argue with them otherwise. I do not like these movies
and I have my reasons.
RATING SCALE
The
rating scale works like this - four stars equals a perfect or almost
perfect film, three is a great film, two is a good film
and one is a bad film. No movie ever deserves zero stars, not even complete
garbage. Are all movies with the same rating equal? No, not at all and
from time to time I will place movies with the same number of stars
against each other for a film fight.
CCF BIO
A film
aficionado, a writer and promoter, Chad Clinton Freeman is the creator
and owner of PollyStaffle.com. Chad, who has covered events such as
the CineVegas Film Festival, the Screenwriting Expo of Los Angeles,
the AVN Expo and Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors, has worked in
the field of journalism for 15 years. He is also a screenplay writer
and is actively involved with a number of independent film projects.
Despite
his love for genre cinema now, it was actually Oliver Stone who originally
fired up his interest in film. You could say “Scarface”
(1983), written by Stone, was the spark, and “Platoon” (1986),
penned and directed by Stone, was the accelerant. Spike Lee, Quentin
Tarantino, Larry Clark and Robert Rodriguez soon added more fuel to
the fire.
Then in
1994, the television show “Reel Wild Cinema” opened his
eyes to genre films, specifically the creative, experimental, weird
and wacky world of B-movies, exploitation and grindhouse works of yesteryear.
The Godfather of Gore Herschell Gordon Lewis emerged as a new hero and
inspiration. Chad has never been the same since.

MISSION STATEMENT
In search
of cinematic polished apples, PollyStaffle.com looks for the good among
the unknown and tries to bring darkness to the light in order to expose
the rotten for what it is. But most of all, this site is a celebration
of individuality, diversity, creativity and empowerment.
